Positive thinking through the eyes of an optimist

Being positive is a state of mind, which most of us either fail to understand or are unable to inculcate. It is not easy to feel positive all the time, it takes lot of effort and perseverance to live every moment of life with a positive attitude.

What is positive thinking? Well, channelling your thoughts when in a not-so-great situation to think in the right manner is positive thinking. When in a situation, our mind and thinking tends to panic, resulting in negative approach towards the situation being faced. All one has to do in such situations is to try and remain calm and let the mind do its work to come up with a solution.

  How does positive thinking change our life in general?

1.One we would stop being critical of everything we do and be less harsh on ourselves.

2.It would help us think straight without panicking thus finding solutions.

3.It allows one to understand life in a new perspective which he/she would not have experienced earlier.

4.Being positive does wonders to one’s psychological and physical health.

When one starts channelizing their mind to start thinking positively, they would find a major difference in the way life changes around them.

One would realize that life has more to offer than one had ever imagined.

                   Specially in unprecedented times like these one has to really work hard in keeping themselves motivated by converting all the not so positive thoughts into positive’s humans we are very vulnerable to the situations around us and it is natural to feel low and demotivated however one must understand that time is the only factor which does not remain constant and would change hence keeping the same in mind one has to channelize themselves to think in a productive and positive way.

Negative and unnecessary thoughts can bring our morale low and can affect us in such a way that one would never be able to come back to normalcy and can succumb to clinical depression hence it is very important that we keep working on our thoughts like how we work out to keep our body active and fit.

                  So, the next question that arises is how do we keep our thoughts positive when so much negativity is prevalent around us.

There is so much one could do to keep oneself motivated and positive. Below are few points.

Rediscover a hobby which probably one had forgotten that they ever had.

It could be as simple as working on embroidery skills or may be tutor someone who is struggling to fare well in a particular subject if one has flare for teaching.

One can approach nearest authorities and or check online to find if one could volunteer at a hospital / religious place / meal making centres / animal centre to volunteer, however one would have to keep in mind the current situation in order to stay safe as well as to be successful.

One can start taking interest in religion and get to understand it by studying a religious book which can guide about the origin of religious practices and ways it can calm our mind and help us think positively.

As mentioned in sec c one could volunteer at an animal centre, what better way to care for animals and to spend time with them to feel positive and peaceful.

Hence trying to be positive is a quality one had to work on every hour and every day. With practice in no time, one would realize the changes he/she has brought into their life by being optimist about life and situations.
